Link Indexing and SEO Effects

A lot of people have been asking me, "When will this stuff that I did today take effect?" or "How many backlinks can we get at a specific timeframe?". I always answer these questions with "I'm not quite sure..." Why? You might as well read through this article to find out:

  1. SEO doesn't take effect immediately, it takes some time for search engines to index all backlinks that you have posted.
  2. Search engines may take some time to update their rankings or recache. Patience is a virtue my friend, you do have to wait.
  3. Posting a link doesn't guarantee anything unless it stays permanent. It could give a temporary boost but will disappear after the site owner decides that you are not worth linking to.
  4. Do not ask your SEO when you'll get to the first position. If you want to be there quick and easy, talk to Google  instead.
  5. Some search engine strategies are yield better results depending on the on-page factors. So, if you want to rank faster, try editing your content or better yet, redesign your website.
Well, this pretty much answers those questions. If you do want to share your comments, please feel free to do so.

Disclaimer: I made this post as a FAQ for questions. Anything that you might have read in this post are my own views, and not by other SEOs. I do not claim to be a God of SEO, or even a person with exceptional SEO skills. I am just voicing out my opinions regarding the issue.

Google Loves Me!

Google loves me too much... I have a site, well, actually, sites. All of them are ranking notably high on google.

Well, this is my own opinion regarding the saying that "Google Hates SEO"... Actually, Google doesn't. What Google hates is OVER-OPTIMIZATION. Linkbuilding, when done in moderation and planned well, could make significant changes in rankings.

Also, a lot of SEOs get as much backlinks as they want, which is another myth that I want to bust. I am not a God of the trade, but I do know that what google looks for are quality backlinks and not inbound links from stupid spam sites. In other words, you don't need to have a thousand backlinks to survive the game. What you need is just a set of links that came from high quality sources.

I have joined several competitions and I've had opponents that had over 4000 backlinks, while I manage to build only around 300. But the funny thing is, I do win SEO contests, or I achieve notable runner positions.

I've been putting a lot of time lately in this research and I am planning to publish a free e-book regarding this. Wish me the best of luck!

Kuneho: Ang Pagbabalik

Wala na naman akong magawa sa buhay, kaya't alam nyo na.

*Drum Roll*

I'm back!

Bagama't pansin ko ang pagkawala ng aking mga nakaraang paskil (na medyo nakakabadtrip) ay tuloy ang ating ligaya!

Teka anong isusulat ko?
