A lot of people have been asking me, "When will this stuff that I did today take effect?" or "How many backlinks can we get at a specific timeframe?". I always answer these questions with "I'm not quite sure..." Why? You might as well read through this article to find out:
- SEO doesn't take effect immediately, it takes some time for search engines to index all backlinks that you have posted.
- Search engines may take some time to update their rankings or recache. Patience is a virtue my friend, you do have to wait.
- Posting a link doesn't guarantee anything unless it stays permanent. It could give a temporary boost but will disappear after the site owner decides that you are not worth linking to.
- Do not ask your SEO when you'll get to the first position. If you want to be there quick and easy, talk to Google instead.
- Some search engine strategies are yield better results depending on the on-page factors. So, if you want to rank faster, try editing your content or better yet, redesign your website.
