Link Indexing and SEO Effects

A lot of people have been asking me, "When will this stuff that I did today take effect?" or "How many backlinks can we get at a specific timeframe?". I always answer these questions with "I'm not quite sure..." Why? You might as well read through this article to find out:

  1. SEO doesn't take effect immediately, it takes some time for search engines to index all backlinks that you have posted.
  2. Search engines may take some time to update their rankings or recache. Patience is a virtue my friend, you do have to wait.
  3. Posting a link doesn't guarantee anything unless it stays permanent. It could give a temporary boost but will disappear after the site owner decides that you are not worth linking to.
  4. Do not ask your SEO when you'll get to the first position. If you want to be there quick and easy, talk to Google  instead.
  5. Some search engine strategies are yield better results depending on the on-page factors. So, if you want to rank faster, try editing your content or better yet, redesign your website.
Well, this pretty much answers those questions. If you do want to share your comments, please feel free to do so.
